Essay

The reaction of CO oxidation on Cu-Co-Fe oxide catalysts was investigated. It is shown, thet the sample, in which there is a phase Cu2(OH)3NO3, have high catalytic activity. There is a maximum amount of oxigen in hydroxyl groups on a surface of the sample with high cataytic activity. The existence of different forms of CO which are adsorbed on a surface of oxide Cu-Co-Fe catalysts is established, among which the (2-form is favorable for the oxidation CO to CO2. It is shown, thet the hysteresises on dependences of a degree of conversion CO to CO2 vs temperature can be explained by heterogeneous-homogeneous mechanism. Kinetics of CO oxidation on Cu-Co-Fe oxide samples is invistigated and it is shown, thet the kinetic experimental data are submited to the Eley-Readial mechanism. The method of thermolyis of Cu-Co-Fe oxide system supported on thermoexfoliated graphite (TEG) was proposed.
