Essay

The subject of investigation is behavior of electroweak symmetry in presence of strong magnetic fields in the early universe in the Standard Model (SM) and Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) of elementary particles. The aims are to research the behavior of electroweak symmetry in presence of external magnetic fields and to study the possibility of magnetic fields generation at high temperature. The method of investigations: the construction of the total effective potential, taking into consideration the one-loop and ring diagrams of Feynman for all fields of SM and MSSM, by means of proper-time method. The dependence of electroweak phase transition (EWPT) on the magnetic field strength and Higgs-boson mass is investigated in detail. The possibility of spontaneous generation of strong magnetic fields because of spontaneous vacuum magnetization mechanism is shown. The numerical values of strengths of spontaneously generated magnetic and chromomagnetic fields at temperatures of EWPT are obtained. The practical usage of the results is the investigation of processes occurred in early universe at high temperature, particularly, in the epoch of EWPT down to the deconfinement temperature; the research of early universe development in cosmology.
