Essay

Object of research are the population Bufo viridis and Bufo bufo inhabiting the forest-steppe of the left-bank territories of Ukraine. The aim is to define a level of a population diversity and to define of regularity influential in its formation, on an example Bufo viridis and Bufo bufo. Methods - field collecting of sampling, cameral morphofenetical description of the collected sampling, biometric processing with usage of the cluster, component, correlation and dispersion analyses. Population biodiversity of green (Bufo viridis) and common (Bufo bufo) toads in the Left-bank Forest-steppe of Ukraine has been studied. Most studied samples show statistically significant differences by many characters. Interpopulation fenetic intervals exceed the intrapopulation intervals between the groups, and in certain cases - intervals between different taxonomic forms. Different populations of Bufo viridis have been registered on the basis of the differences in the composition of the secretion of suprascapular glands of such toads. Certain biodiversity of the populations of Bufo viridis is due to the influence of the conditions of their habitation, and the features of their reproduction reservoirs above all. In the urbanized ecosystems, the fluctuating asymmetry of certain characters of toads significantly decreases. The used characters of toads have been compared for the purposes of a description of population biodiversity. Biodiversity of populations is a key level of overall biological diversity. Spheres of use are the preservation of a biodiversity animal, taxonomy, mining and implementation of pharmacological and cosmetic means.
