Sergei S. Change of the head and performance of a high-speed dynamic pump under influence of viscosity of the medium pumped.

Purpose - investigation of influence of viscosity of the medium pumped on the head and performance curves of pumps of hydrodynamic principle of operation with low-sized impellers and high rotational speed of their working characteristics for the given conditions. Methods: computstional-analytical method, and of physical modeling of the working process of the flow passages of the submersible pump equipment, at the experimental rig. Results: the mechanisms of influence of rotor rotational speed, scale effect and viscosity of the medium upon the working characteristics of centrifugal pumps are determined. A semi-empiricsl technique for recalculation of working characteristics of these pumps from wster to a high-viscous fluid is developed. Area of use: pump building industry.
