Essay

This work is devoted to the study and development of the electron shearography method for the NDT of thin-sheet structures manufactured by welding, brazing and adhesion and also for the optimizing technologies of manufactured of machine-building structures. Analytical relationship, established in process of work fulfillment, allows modeling of the process for shearogram obtaining. On its basis the existing algorithms were improved and new noise-proof algorithms of software were developed for the creation of the shearographic units. Using this equipment, the sensitivity of the method and range of record of derivatives from displacement in a selected direction were determined, and also the relationships were obtained, which reflect the effect of a shear value on the sensitivity and range of record of the above- mentioned derivatives. Areas of revealing crack-like defects by the method on electron shearography were defined experimentally. Application of the developed method of the quality control of thin-walled welded high-pressure cylinder, manufactured from high-strength steels, is especially effective. These cylinders are designed for service under the conditions of a cyclic loading that stipulates their increased sensitivity to different kind of defects and concentrated stresses.
