Essay

The hydroperoxide epoxidation of olefins and tert-bytul hydroperoxide decomposition in the presence of metal borides were investigated. Activity of investigated borides in the epoxidation reaction changing in the following order: TiB2 " HfB2 " TaB2 " ZrB2 " NbB2 < CrB2 < VB2 < МоВ2. The borides can be arranged in the following order of increasing activity in the decomposition reaction: TaB2 Ј NbB2 "TiB2 "HfB2 "ZrB2 < CrB2 << МоB2 < VB2. Based on these experimental data the kinetic model of process tert-bytul hydroperoxide decomposition in the presence of МоВ2 was proposed. The hydroperoxide decomposition occurs via the primary formation of the intermediate catalyst- hydroperoxide. The kinetic effective and equilibrium constants of this process were calculated. The mechanism and kinetic regularities of process hydroperoxide epoxidation of octene-1 and ethylallylethylacrylate in the presence of МоВ2 were investigated. The kinetic model of process which included primary formation of the intermediate catalyst-olefin was proposed and derived the kinetic equation for the reaction rate. Kinetic constants of this process were calculated.
