Essay

The object - three-phase semiconductor rectifier, including the converter transformer, two three-phase groups of power valves, a switch-capacitor commutative circuit and balancing reactor. The purpose of the investigation: the development of theory of electromagnetic processes of compensated converters and creation on this basis the converters with improved weight and overall dimensions properties and with acceptable level of electromagnetic compatibility. Methods of investigation: differential equations theory, analytical, numeric methods. Theoretical and practical results and innovations: the two step multistage commutation in compensated converter is investigated and general-purpose current equations are obtained; the commutation expressions for determination of control and commutation angles in investigated commutation process are obtained and improved method of their solution is proposed; mode, external and control characteristics of investigated converter are obtained. The degree of implementation: the results of investigation are in use by educational process. The sphere of application: industrial enterprises, research institutes.
