Didukh M. Political awareness forming in the young population under conditions of social instability.

The dissertation deals with the problem of the political awareness forming in the young population under conditions of social instability. The findings of the research prove that the political awareness is an integral part of the consciousness of an individual as such, and its subsistence results from the social life of the person. The data obtained show that forming of the political awareness in the young is determined by involuntary interiorizing factors, as well as reflective factors featuring personal manageability, alertness, and value-rational determination. Social instability, which manifests itself in ideologically, morally and ethically, and institutionally indefinite nature of the subjects of political life (i.e. parties, movements, public bodies etc.) effects frustration features in the political awareness and propensity for absenteeism in the respect of behavior. The political awareness concept can be categorized as follows: rational-personal, rational-alienated, stereotypical-approving, stereotypical-denying, and impartial types. Development of the reflection is the crucial factor of the political awareness forming, and its purposeful actualization enables the prescribed shifts in the political awareness.
