Essay

The object is increase of productivity of pine stands of Kyiv Polissya through genetic-improved seeds using for pine stands creation. The purpose is development of measures of pine stands productivity increment in the region by means of selection & genetic methods. Methods of comparative ecology, standard methods of forest selection, sylviculture and taxation are used. The results. The genofund of Pinus sylvestris L. was studied, artificial forest stands were proposed to create from plus-trees seeds (121 trees candidates were chosen). The pine seeds fertility is rather high (83 - 87%) in greenhouses of genetic reservates of Kyiv Polissya. The height of seedlings from plus-trees clones seeds is essentially bigger than seedlings from genetic reservates and typical collection. The influence of genetic factors in experimental cultures appears in plant growth in height. In experimental cultures 60 plus-trees were chosen, which are efficient to use for creation of second generation pine stands. The application degree. The results of investigations are applied in forestry practice in Kyiv Polissya on the area 200 hectares. The branch of use is forestry.
