Essay

CO oxidation on Co and Co-Pd-loaded catalysts on carriers SiО2, Al2O3, ZSM-5 and ERI has been investigated. It shown, that activity of the cobalt-containing systems with high contents of metal 10%Со) is defined with structure peculiarities of carriers and temperature conditions of catalyst formation resulting in various dispersity and extent of interaction of spinel СоСо2О4 with carriers. It was found that the presence in the surface layer of clusters of readily-reducible cobalt cations in octahedral coordination surrounded with extraframework oxygen atoms promotes high activity of 1,2%Co-containing systems. High catalytic activity of bimetal-containing Co-Pd-systems is caused with formation of additional Co-Pd centers. CO oxidation on catalysts Со/ZSM-5 and Co-Pd/ZSM-5 described with Eley - Rideal mechanism.
