Danilchenko T. Gender-perceptional differences of the first impression forming in social interaction

The dissertation paper is devoted to the research of peculiarities of the first impression in the different gender groups. The determinant factors of the content and structure of social-perceptive image of the unknown person were observed in the paper. The special attention was given to the manifestations of gender specificity of the object and subject of perception. The fact that forming of the first impression in the different gender groups of the student youth has its peculiarities was empirically proved. Besides, it was verified that there exists a correlation between the particularities of unknown person socio-perceptive image building and the level of masculine/feminine qualities explicitness. The special educational course of "Psychology of social perception: the gender aspects" was worked out based on the results of research. The implementation of this course has afforded to rise the perceptive components of the social intelligence, first of all in the angle of preciseness of first impression.
