Zaychenko O. Ukrainian Folk Apocryphal Legend. The problems of the development and existence.

The thesis considers the development of Ukrainian national apocryphal legend as scantily explored genre of the folk-lore and the specificity of its existence in the context of modern public, historical and cultural transformations. The specificity of architectonics, the appearance, development and functioning of Christian images which were assimilated under the effect of national traditions, culture and ethnic thoght, receiving new semantic values, are investigated.For the first time the thesis work has developed the system of the poetics analysis of apocryphal legends. The system is based on the usage of structural archetiypmodels (codes), which provide the old form preservation of folk legends filling them with new information - art memory.
