Essay

The thesis is dedicated to a problem of modernization and increase of district heating systems operational efficiency of megalopolises of Ukraine. The cycle of the theoretical, analytical and experimental researches was performed during the thesis development. The review of the development and current condition of the district heating system of Kyiv was carried out, the optimality basic criteria of the megalopolis district heating systems are formulated. The thesis also presents the comparative analysis of heating systems of Russian and Northern Europe cities as well as the typical directions of the large district heating systems improvement. The principles of organization of a flexible operating schedule of district heating networks were developed, the analysis was carried out and the scope of renovation and modernization of Kyiv heat sources was offered. The optimal technology of pre-insulated pipes laying was determined for district heating networks. The principles and hierarchical structure of theheat supply integrated corporate control system was developed and the ecological package plan was specified. The optimal coefficient of Kyiv district heating system was determined. Technological schemes on heat substations modernization were considered and offered, and choice of their operation optimum performance was made. The analysis and experimental modulation of the temperature regime of district heating networks in the heating season was performed, the principles of organization of quantity district heating systems control were developed and the corresponding technological schemes were offered. The development prospects of alternative and traditional heat sources of Kyiv City, steam-and-gas plants for CHPs were reviewed. The results of practical introduction of the thesis main provisions that is being implemented within "Kyiv District Heating Improvement Project" and reconstruction of heat substations are specified. Different methods of the fuel cost allocation under cogeneration conditions and principles of heat energy output tariffs were analyzed, as well as the evaluation of financial sources and scope of investment of the project "Kyiv District Heating Improvement Project" was specified.
