Essay

The two-stroke high-speed diesel engine 6DN with gas-turbine supercharging, supercharging air cooler (SAC) and developed system of air supply. The object of the work is resolving the research task of improving technical, economical and toxic characteristics of the two-stroke high-speed diesel engine 6DN with direct-flow-aperture blowing at cylinder-piston group parts heat intensity decreasing. There have been pioneered the determination of constant of friction value of revolving air charge against cylinder walls in the period of compression. For the first time there has been suggested non-dimensional criterion of cylinder rectangular inlet opening shape, there has been demonstrated that the best class of gas exchange process in diesel engine with direct-flow-aperture blowing is provided at the same values of criterion; there has been also defined the range of those values. There has been improved the calculation program of the two-stroke diesel engine work cycle parameters by adding it with different dependence's There have been elaborated the recommendations on selecting of inlet openings max swirl angle by height, gas distribution phases, nozzle diaphragm min open flow area of the diesel 6DN with SAC and cylinders with inlet openings perfected configuration, which provide the best fuel economy and minimum toxicity of exhausted gases. There has been made up art of manufacturing of cylinder inlet openings with perfected configuration, which lets increase their open flow area by 10% without changing of cylinder liner design. There has been designed the original model of compact high-performance SAC, built in compressor, which usage helps improve the diesel 6DN fuel economy and toxicity rates. There has been also elaborated the new project of gas sampling probe and has been grounded the technique of its usage - this provides high level of authenticity for determination of gas composition in cylinder in the end of expansion process. It is shown that in condition of exhaust gases temperature keeping at initial level it is possible to increase the advanced diesel 6DN power by 9.7% in comparison with base-model of diesel engine. The results of the work have been introduced at State Enterprise "Kharkov Engine Design Bureau". Engine building.
