Essay

Milling process of optical polystyrene products. Providing with macro-, microgeometry parameters of surface, surface lay er of opticalpolystyrene products, that quarantee the best functionality and running ability by means of specified ration al conditions of milling process. Methods of testing are based on the foundations of theory of cutting,strengh, wear, phisico-mechanical interaction. New dependences between quality parameters and milling process conditions are given, influof these parameters on running ability of optical polystyrene products is established. Recommendations on milling of inside and outside surfaces, that provide required quality of products, are developed. It appleies at Institute of Scintillation Materials of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine when producing flat scintillation products.Field of application – engineering industry, medicine.
