Essay

The scalar values and vector directions of natural remanent magnetization in various soils of the main climatic zones of Ukraine are studied. The global tendencies for distribution of the natural remanent magnetization, magnetic susceptibility, Keonigsberger ratio in humus horizons of automorphic soils and deep genetic horizons of the soil-profiles are defined. The magnetic-mineralogical composition is studied and the cariers of the natural remanent magnetization are defined. The magnetic hardness and domain structure of ferrimagnetics from the top-soil and soil-forming loess are studied. The component composition and stability of the natural remenent magnetization is studied. The contribution of the natural remanent magnetization to the total magnetization is estimated. The principal impossibility for preservation of primary magnetization in studied soils is proved.
