Essay

Subject of inquiry - the influence of instrumental and methodical errors in successive approximation ADC with weight redundancy on the finite error of conversion both during self-calibration and basic function performance, that gives rise to the problem of precision increase; purpose of researches - precision increase of successive approximation ADCs built using low-precision compensative DAC on the basis of information weight redundancy by means of self-calibration of digit weights; methods of researches and equipment - are based on: the theory of AC-conversion, theory of errors, computer modeling; theoretical and practical results - the self-calibration errors of digit weights are analyzed, which allow to determine optimum number of "precise" digits for the procedure of self-calibration depending of maximum error of digit weights and base of numerical system of ADC, a program of computer modeling of analog-to-digit conversion considering self-calibration; degree of introduction - within the limits offield; field of use - information measuring systems.
