Essay

Object - images and two dimensional information data formed by remote sensing systems or used in the remote sensing systems for maintenance of required quality of their functioning. The purpose - increase of interpretation quality of the remote sensing images by improvement of methods of image filtration, relief reconstruction and image compression. The methods of statistical spatial processing of random processes and fields, methods of the correlation analysis, methods of a nonlinear and adaptive filtration, numerical methods of optimization, theory of expert systems, theory of coding of the data were used. A new method of automatic local adaptive filter synthesis for the final interpretation task dependent quality criteria is proposed. More effective modifications of sigma filter and Lee filter are proposed. Multiwindow variants of mean and sigma filters are described. A method of sample digital elevation model synthesis is proposed. New methods of digital elevation model reconstruction based on isograms data are described. Questions of fractal image compression speeding up are investigated. The method of partition scheme use in image compression based on discrete cosine transform is im-proved. New image compression methods, which take into account noise in the image, are proposed. The research results are implemented in algorithms and software that are used in manufacturing application in set of branch organizations. Sphere of application: remote sensing data processing.
