Essay

The mechanism of interaction with hydrogen of Ti-Fe and Ti-Fe-V alloys was studied by XPS and electrochemical methods. The comparison of hydrogen absorbing properties with electrochemical ones (in 30% KOH solution) was carried out for the Mg2Ni and MgNi2 intermetallics. The possibilyty of Mg and Mg2Ni-based composites development for hydrogen storage was considered.
