Essay

The thesis is devoted to the structure of dust-laden flows in the channels and pipes of the industrial heat power equipment. It is shown, that equation describing secondary flows in ducts and pipes, can be reduced to the Helmholtz equation for the flow function. The mathematical models are created for the secondary flows, known from the experiment, and also for the whirling flow, as the solutions of the Helmholtz equation at the corresponding boundary conditions. The model of the successive growth of vortices in the turbulent near-wall flows is proposed, and dependences are obtained to calculate the characteristic pulsation frequencies in the turbulent boundary layer and in the round pipe. A vortex-wall interaction is considered and formula obtained for the attraction force acting between the vortex and the wall. The enhanced method of dust particles movement is developed, which takes into consideration the secondary flows and allows modeling the redistribution of the dust particles concentration and dust precipitation on the walls of the channels and pipes.
