Essay

The mechanical properties and endurance of metal fused with electrodes of basic type УОНИ 13/55 is increased by means of reduction of non-metal impurities and dirt due to substitution of ferroalloy electrodes by a single complex alloy of electroslag smelting in the structure of the surface. At that the content of trapped oxide in the metal of the seam is reduced for 36 %, the part of refractory impurities with oxide Al is reduced for 53%. Concentration S is reduced for 45% and P - for 20%. The impact elasticity of the added metal is increased for 24%, the tensile strain - for 20%, and the endurance limit - for 16%. Electroslag technology of ferrotitanium and complex ferroalloy production with the usage of titanium and industrial ferroalloys scrap is developed. The structure, composition and properties of the obtained ferroalloys is investigated
