The thesis is dedicated to complex research of democracy development in British society in the context of Great Britain's outer and colonial expansion in the 2nd part of 19th - early 20th century. During the 2nd part of 19th - early 20th century the democratization of internal social and political life and wide outer and colonial expansion were among the main tendencies of Great Britain social development. The mentioned tendencies were developing at the same time and they were in a close cause-and-effect connection. The candidate came to conclusion that Great Britain's outer expansion in the 2nd part of 19th - early 20th century fulfilled a structure-making influence to British society and thus it formed one of the major preconditions for democracy.
