Shakh A. "The influence of weaning stress and regulatory factors on the activity of antioxidant system in organism of piglet."

The thesis deals with the study of influence of piglet weaning stress on the dynamics of changes in the content of some populations of erythrocytes and their antioxidant activity, hormonal and metabolic profiles in piglet blood during different periods after weaning and after parenteral administration before weaning of vitamins A and E and sodium selenite. It has been shown that weaning stress negatively influences on the status of antioxidant system in erythroidal cells and hormonal and metabolic profile of blood. It has been established that in piglets the changes of in inrelations in erythrocytes types, in haemoglobin, hydroperoxides and malondialdehyde content, in SOD and HP activity are absent or insignificant during 14 days after weaning after the parenteral administration before weaning of vitamins A and E and sodium selenite. The significantly after influence of simultaneous parenteral administration of vitamins A and E and sodium selenite on the enzyme activity of antioxidant system in comparison with the injection only vitamins was shown.
