Karabyn T. Influence of features of communication in the Internet on student's socialization.

The dissertation research is devoted to study the influence of communication in the Internet on pro-cess of students' socialization. The author considers the specificity of the today students' socialization, in particular in higher-school environment, and the role of communication in socialization process. The es-sence of communication in the Internet is investigated, and its features distinguishing it from communi-cation in real environment are shown. The interrelation of communication in the Internet and today stu-dents' socialization process is theoretically grounded. The contents characteristics of dialogue in the Internet are empirically investigated, the differences in value orientations, characteristics of personality and socialization parameters of the students who use and who don't use the Internet are found out. On the base of the revealed correlation dependences among the given parameters the complex of the characteristics distinguishing the Internet users from the rest of students is revealed. The character of influence of features of communication in virtual environment on a level of the person's socialization is investigated.
