Essay

In the investigation of the features of clinical and computed tomography (CT) manifestations of acute period of brain injury (BI) were determined. Described are CT changes in various forms of BI. Obtained are new results concerning the correlation of prevailing clinical picture and the character of CT changes. On the basis of clinical picture and CT changes, for the first time proposed is the separation of the acutest period in the clinical course of light, medium and severe grade BI, proposed and grounded is its approximate term. For the first time described is clinical and CT symptom of hidden subarachnoidal hemorrhage, proposed is scientific grounding of this effect. Investigated is the statistical correlation of sex and age of the patients, clinical course of the disease and presence of primary and secondary intracranial CT changes. Basing on the received results, grounded and proposed is the new algorithms of CT observation in the treatment of patients with BI.
