Essay

The work is aimed to development of new method which allow to effectively prevent formation of cold cracks without use of additional technological measures in middle carbon low alloy steels weldmentsAt the first stage the choice of an rational alloying basis and modifying characteristics have been carried out. The mathematical model which defines de-pendence of weld metal mechanical properties and their cold crack resistance on concentration of alloying and modifying elements is developed. Researches of initiation and develop-ment cold HAZ-cracks in weldments are executed. The op-timal variant and parameters of modifying for cold crack pre-vention and their influence on major factors which define cold HAZ-crack formation is determined. Recipes of elec-trode covering for welding of some high-strength steels are developed. Results of trial check and economic benefit calcu-lations of the developed electrodes improvement are ob-tained.
