Essay

54 species of Chitinozoa were described monographycally. Among them 7 species are new. During the study a number of morphological and anatomical specific and generic features were supplemented and revised, ontogenetic development of the studied taxa were characterized. Chitinozoa zonation was proposed for the studied area for the first time. It includes five chitinozoan Biostratigraphic zones, which helped to correlate the deep water terrigenous-argillaceous facies with shallow water carbonate ones.
