Object of research: process of assortment group forming of supermarket. Object of research: economical-mathematical models and techniques of stop-keeping units (SKU) selection in the process of assortment group forming of supermarket. The purpose of research: perfection of existing approaches to assortment group forming, and to development of complex of models and methods, applying of which would allow to increase the efficiency of decisions in a process of supermarket assortment forming. Methods of research: multidimensional factor and hierarchic cluster analysis, multidimensional regression analysis, search algorithms of random search and imitation modeling. Theoretical and practical results, degree of practical uses: the theoretical meaning of researches is development of complex of models and techniques, usage of which allows increasing efficiency solutions in a process of supermarket assortment group forming. The practical meaning of researches is that the offered methodic of supermarket assortment group forming on the basis of a multifactor estimation of efficiency of SKUs is used in activity of a supermarket "Alen" of shopping center "Ocean" of Sevastopol. Scientific novelty of the obtained results: logical-set model of supermarket assortment group structurization with use of a multifactor approach has been formalized for the first time, which one allows to make a balanced estimation of efficiency of SKU's sales; has been perfected: methodical bases of assortment group forming of supermarket, and also scientific - methodical guidelines of an estimation of supermarket goods difference in a view of goods groups; have received the further development the methods of allocation of supermarket assortment of in a part of the count of random component in a function of the sales profit. Object (branch) for usage: large food shops: supermarkets, discounters etc.
