Kovalevich V. Mechanisms social and cultural determination cognitive process in astronomy.

In dissertation social and cultural determination astronomy is analysed. Features this determination are considered in three aspects: influences astrology on development astronomy in different historic реriods; in revolutionary and evolu-tional periods of development of astronomy, in particular, in Copernicus revolution and revolution of the XXth century, and also evolutional stages, that preceded the abovementioned revolutions and the revolutions that followed them; on the theo-retical and empiric level of development and functioning of contemporary astron-omy and separate fragments of its historical past. In dissertation evolution character co-operation and intercommunication astronomy and astrology in different history реriods is analysed, and social and cultural factors stipulating this evolution are considered: since hard integrity (cog-nitive unity) - in ancient East, to elements relative independence - in antiquity, Middle Ages and Renaissance age, to complete independence astronomy from as-trology - in New time. In dissertation specific (distinction in а character, roles and degrees) social and cultural determination theoretical and empiric astronomy in revolutionary and evolutional реriods its development is shown.
