Essay

Object - breeding of genus Quercus. Aim - enrich of forest species with improved genetic level for creation the stands of high productivity by breeding the forms, which are the most adaptable to local conditions. Methods - common methods of trees estimation in breeding, apomicts obtaining. Results - new oak species are found firstly, which are stable in steppe conditions. Valuable hybrids are obtained from them. New form-hybrid, which is perspective for steppe zone, is found, and perspectives of work with existing forms are determined. Firstly ability to pseudogamy for Q. robur, Q. hartwissiana, Q. calcarea and androgenesis at some oak species crossing are revealed. Method of apomicts obtaining from oak species and hybrids has been developed. With other researchers, 5 authorship certificates are obtained on different oak sorts. Implementation - forest enterprises of Steppe zone of Ukraine. Branch of use - forestry.
