Essay

The dissertation covers a period of 1985-1992 in the history of the European Economic Community. Intensive development of the European Community was determined by global economic and political tendencies. Two fundamental documents were signed: Single European Act and Maastricht Treaty. Both documents became a political and legal basement for the European integration during determined period. The Single European Market, cooperation in currency systems, social and agrarian fields were the main directions of the integration. The basic in the foreign policy of the Community composed both integration of Spain and Portugal to the EEC and relations with the USA, the European Free Trade Association, Central Eastern European countries including Ukraine.
