Metallic materials formation processes. Mathematical models of fractal structures of metallic material. Work deals with methods of quantitative description, estimating of the mechanical characteristics, classification of metal structures based on fractal geometry. Binary fractal dimension estimation method - "smart Pixel Dilation" was designed. Relationship between fractal characteristics of metal structures and metallic materials' mechanical prop-erties was discovered. Engineering software was created to allow estimate binary and halftone images fractal di-mension. Scope of use: systems of quality analysis of metallic material.
