Baransky A. Rare and vanishing species of the flora of Volhynian Polesye (chorology, ecological and coenological peculiarities, conservation).

The thesis presents the results of long-term chorological, ecological and coenological researches of rare and vanishing species of the flora of Volhynian Polesye. The peculiarity of geographical distribution, floristic, ecological and coenological features of rare and vanishing species of the flora of Volhynian Polesye were described. Dynamic tendencies of distribution of relic species from the tertiary period till our time were studied. During XIX-XX century, 12 rare species already have vanished from territory of Volynian Polesye, 36 species are endangered, 107 species, mainly boreal, reduce the areas, 170 species have stable areas, 27 species expand the areas on territory Volhynian Polesye. Recommendations for conservation unique phytocenoses of forest-steppe, wood and marsh vegetation with many rare species are proposed.
