The thesis is dedicated to research of a geomorphological structure of the sea-bed of the Antarctic Peninsula western shelf. The tectonic and glacial factors of the morphogenesis are considered for the West Antarctic studied region. The digital cartographic database and 12 electronic raster and vector maps were created on a basis of the developed technique. These maps show the tectonic and post-glacial structure of the region. The detail bathymetric map of the Argentine islands archipelago is built by results of the boat echosounding survey during the Ukrainian expeditions. The archipelago is characteristic feature of the geological structure of the inner western shelf. Owing to developed maps the block structure of the shelf in different scales is shown, the paleoflow lines of ancient continental glaciers are identified, and stages of breaking of pedestal unbroken in the past of the Argentine islands archipelago is reconstructed also. A concernment of usage of the up-to-date satellite technologies (altimetry, interferometry, scatterometry) to research the remote Antarctic regions is shown. Keywords: Antarctic Peninsula, shelf, morphogenesis, geomorphological structure, digital models of heights and depths.
