A thesis is dedicated to research of flower-decorative plants from Scrophulariaceae Juss. family as a source of improvement of the decorative cultural assortment. Research provides results on the Scrophulariaceae family systematic state in the modern cultivated flora of the World and Ukraine. Proposals on the introduction of various species and sorts have been given in the thesis. Experiments on the initial introduction of 16 species and 6 sorts of Scrophulariaceae family provide data on high level of their adaptation to soil and climatic conditions of the Ukrainian Forest-Steppe Region and value of their usage in a plant arrangement almost everywhere. Research delivers the blocks of information on organ-genesis peculiarities, reproductive biology; results of comparative analysis on genetic-determined and antropogenious formation of the shoot system and main agrotechnology methods of the decorative plants from the Scrophulariaceae family.
