Essay

Charge transfer and crystallization stages of metal electrocrystallization are the object of the in-vestigation. To develop methods for distinguishing charge transfer and crystallization overpotentials and substantiate mechanism of copper monolayer electrocrystallization from sulfate solutions are the aim of the work. Master data have been obtained by the galvanostatic potential transient method. New methods of polarization curve differentiation, gal-vanostatic potential transient differentiation, two-pulse galvanostatic potential transient method have been elaborated. For the first time change of copper monolayer electrocrystallization mechanism on changing from cathode polarization to anode one resulting from hydrogen sulfate ion adsorption in-fluence on the stage of adatom incorporation in growth sites has been proved. The results of the in-vestigation have been introduced in studies of Dniepropetrovsk National University and can be applied in practice of electrochemical investigation of metal electrocrystallization.
