Essay

Synthesis of Ti-6Al-4V, Ti-5Al-2.5Fe and Ti-8Mn alloys with blended elemental powder metallurgy press-and-sinter approach without employment of hot deformation was investigated. Advantages of titanium hydride employment instead of titanium powder to form materials with minimal residual porosity and high balance of properties were demonstrated.
