Lifarenko E. Medical and social expert practice and medical rehabilitation of the patients with hip osteoarthritis

Object of the research: development of coxarthrosis, also after reconstructive interventions. Goal of the research: improvement of medical and social expertise and development of scientifically based typical medical rehabilitation programs for improvement of its quality and reduction of disability levels. Methods of research: clinical, X-ray, CT, MRI, densitometry, statistics. Scientific novelty: New data of disability after coxarthrosis in Ukraine have been acquired, that allowed to define basic measures for reduction of disability levels in patients with this pathology. Scientifically based criteria of rehabilitative potential and medical and social evaluation of anatomical and functional infringements in patients with coxarthrosis have been developed , that allowed to objectively define kind and degree of restriction of live for improvement of quality of medical and social expertise and rehabilitations of the patients. New operative technique of treatment of patients with congenital hip displacementwith use of external fixation device has been developed. The device includes the originally developed pins. For the first time typical programs of medical rehabilitation of patients with coxarthrosis have been developed. The practical importance: The introduction of the surgical method of treatment of patients with congenital hip displacement with use of external fixation device into the practice of the trauma departments allowed to reduce severity of operative injury, to improve functional results of treatment and medical rehabilitation of the patients. Use of the developed typical programs of medical rehabilitation of the patients with coxarthrosis allowed to improve creation of individual rehabilitative programs by physicians and medical experts and so to improve levels of disability. Scientifically based criteria of the rehabilitative potential and improved medical and social evaluation of anatomical and functional infringements in patients with coxarthrosis are included to the Instruction for the group of disability evaluation #516/9115 (07.04.2004), introduced into the practice of medical and social expertise, that allowed to improve quality of medical and social expertise and medical rehabilitation of the patients with this pathological condition. Introduction of the measures into the practice of the expert commissions and the hospitals allowed to improve disability levels.Traumatology and orthopedics.
