Get'manchuk A. Peculiarities of using of forest medicinal plants in condition of radioactive contamination of Polissja of Ukraine

Object - radionuclids migration in forest ecosystems contaminated by radionuclids in result of Chernobyl accident. Aim - development of scientific base of wild medicinal plants use in the forests of western and central parts of Polissya of Uklaine in condition of radioactive contamination. Methods - comparative ecology, and well-known methods of geobotany, soil science, forestry and radioecology. Results - spatial regularities of radionuclids accumulation in the most wide spread medicine plants of investigated region in different forest habitats are revealed. Diversity in radionuclids accumulation by different medicine plants is proved. Scientific base of medicine plants use in the forests contaminated by radionuclids is developed. Implementation - the main results are implemented in the new edition of "Recommendations on forest management in conditions of radioactive contamination", which are implemented in the forest enterprises of Polissya.
