Object of research - explosion-protected asynchronous engines (VAD) with cast copper short-circuited winding (LMKO) of a rotor for a drive of mining machines. The purpose of research - improvements of driving VAD by introduction of the LMKO rotor for increase of efficiency of mining machines. Methods of research: the system analysis of VAD with LMKO rotor calculations with the purpose of increase of their efficiency; the critical analysis of existing methods of calculation; a method of final elements (МFE); experimental researches of VAD. Theoretical and practical results - theoretically proved methods of calculations of parameters and characteristics of electric motors with LMKO rotor with different electroconductivity of alloy of copper on height of a groove; methods of mathematical modelling are applied; design procedure VAD with LMKO rotor used at designing engines is developed. The manufacture of VAD with LMKO rotor which differs from analogues by the increased technological level and meets therequirements of the international standards is mastered at Public Corporation "PEMZ". Novelty - for VAD the use of copper alloys with different specific electroconductivity on height of a groove of a rotor is offered in view of dependence Кr on sliding for the first time; dependences of transitive resistance between cores of a winding of a rotor from temperature of a filled in material of a winding of a rotor are established; the method of the account of stochastic non-stationary loading at designing engines which differs from known by use gain- frequency characteristics of the engines is offered. A degree of introduction - the received constructive decisions are fulfilled at the Public Corporation "PEМZ". Area of use - the coal industry.
