Essay

The effect of pleochroism was studied in axial loaded cubic semiconductor crystals wiht help of polarization-modulation technique. The non-monotony due to phonon participation in band-to-band transitions was revealed in the transmittance spectra. The dichroism on the diffusion length was found in the pleochroism spectra of photoconductivity. In addition to this the dichroism on the space charge area was found in the pleochroism spectra of gate photoelectromotive force.
