Essay

The thesis contains the results of the study of component interaction in quasi-ternary systems Cu2S - HgS - GeS2, Cu2Se - HgSe - GeSe2, Cu2S - HgS - SnS2 and Cu2Se - HgSe - SnSe2. The phase diagrams of quasi-binary systems, vertical and isothermal (670 K) sections and liquidus surface projections were constructed. The crystal structure of three quaternary phases: Cu2HgGeS4 (LT- and HT-modification), Cu2HgGeSe4, Cu2HgSnS(Se)4 and Cu6Hg0.92GeS5.92, was identified using powder method. In Cu2Se - HgSe - GeS(Se)2 systems, the existence of glass-formation regions was established and certain physico-chemical properties of glassy alloys were studied.
