Essay

As a result of experimental and theoretical investigations new features of the adsorboelectric effects in the multi-layer structures based on the silicon with catalytic thin films of palladium or composite copper/palladium have been established. It was found that the using of composite CuxPd layer reveals the additional hydrogen absorption in volume of the palladium layer and it leads to the enhanced of adsorboelectric effects. Moreover, the multi-layer structures with composite CuxPd electrodes possess the increased stability depending on the ageing process. The mechanism of this phenomenon has been proposed. It also proposed the new method of calculation of adsorption heat for aged Pd layers. The laboratory sample of hydrogen sensor has manufactured.
