The directions of improvement of the organizing-economic mechanism of management of competitiveness of technical systems of transport mechanical engineering are investigated. The economic essence of a category of "technical systems" as major factor of manufacture is determined, their basic properties and characteristics are concretized. The methodical bases of the analysis and estimation of competitiveness of technical systems are advanced. The model of process of formation and management of technical systems is developed, in which their purposes, tasks and contents are determined. The system of parameters of an estimation of quality and competitiveness of technical systems of transport mechanical engineering which determine a level of both stages of their strategic and tactical planning is developed. The normative levels of parameters of quality for achievement of competitiveness of technical systems at the expense of the removed economic-mathematical laws, which allow to choose priority directions ofdevelopment of branch of transport mechanical engineering are proved. The technology and algorithm of the plan of increase of competitiveness of technical systems is offered. The final result of the decision of a task of planning is the developed system of the plans, with inclusion of normative sizes of parameters of quality and competitiveness. The economic benefit of increase of competitiveness of technical systems takes into account economic results from introduction of new engineering, processes of its use and additional profit received at the expense of realization of qualitative production, changes of the price of sale and increase of a share of the market.
