Smolyak V. Economic Assessment of Industrial Enterprises Activity Risk

Object of research: risk of industrial enterprises’ activity as the result of the uncertainty of their operation environment. Purpose of research: theoretical substantiating and developing methodical maintenance of economic estimation of risk of industrial enterprises’ activity. Method of investigation and instrumentation: methods of systematic and structural analysis, expert estimations, mathematical statistics, correlation, regression and dispersion analysis. Theoretical and practical results, novelty: for the first time a technique of an express - estimation of risk has been developed on the basis of usage only of one index - production sale level as the criterion of this estimation; for the first time usage of the parameter of statistic distribution asymmetry as a measuring instrument of risk has been offered; the methodical approach to integral risk estimation has been perfected on the basis of indexes of financial and economic condition of enterprises by attachment to its procedure of the mechanism of the integral index calculation with the help of a suggested point scale; the procedure of estimation of industrial enterprises activity efficiency has been improved with the help of usage of correlative - regression models, which has been supplemented by the mechanism of enterprises division according to their activity risk level into potentially successful and potentially unsuccessful; concrete definition of economic sense of the concept «enterprises activity risk» has received further development with the help of the conducted morphological decomposition of the terms «risk» and «enterprises activity»; specification of the role, assignment and place of enterprises activity risk estimation in the process of risk - management with the help of risk estimation demarcation from its other stages - risk analysis and risk control - has received further development. The practical value of the obtained results consists in creating and implementing methodical maintenance of economic estimation of industrial enterprises activity risk – two essentially different techniques, which enable one to evaluate the activity risk of a separate industrial enterprise or of enterprises aggregation, and the results of risk estimation, which is carried out according to suggested techniques, can be the basis for developing measures concerning the reduction of enterprises activity risk level. Degree of implementation: the suggested technique of enterprises activity risk estimation on the basis of application of the key indicator is implemented at the Limited Liability Company «Slobozhansky meat-processing factory», State Scientific and Production Amalgamation «Kommunar» of National Space Agency of Ukraine. The technique of enterprises activity risk estimation on the basis of application of the integral index is implemented at the Opened Joint Stock Society «Turboatom» and at the Limited Liability Company «Teploservice», and also is used for the intensification of methodical maintenance of educational process at Kharkovnational university of economics. The suggested techniques are advised by the Main Kharkov Region State Administration Administrative Department of industry, transport and communication and Ukrainian union of manufacturers and businessmen to be introduced into the activity of industrial enterprises of the Kharkiv region.
