Object of the study: patella fractures, knee joint. Purpose - perfect the anatomic-functional results of the treatment of patients with patella fracture by the development of the methods of stable-functional transosseous ostheosynthesis. Methods of research: clinical, X-ray, electrophysiological, biomechanical, sonographic, experimental and statistical. Scientific novelty: on the basis of mathematical calculation and experimental studies the possibility of the transosseous ostheosynthesis by the external fixing device using with intraarticulary patella fractures is biomechanically grounded. In the experiment under stand test it were analyzed the durability of ostheosynthesis model and is proved the device usability. The methods applied in 38 patients, its efficiency is proved by considerably most (86,8%) positive result of treatment. It is designed the new method of patient's treatment using the technology of guiding external fixing depending of the type of patella fractures, and the tactic of early post-operative rehabilitation is improved. Practical importance: the introduction to the traumatology departments' practice of the patella of the transosseous ostheosynthesis the developed original external guiding fixing device allows to reach the stable patella, fragments fixing, saving the knee joint function and to improve the efficiency of the patients treatment by the association fixing and rehabilitation period. The presence of the offered method variants use in depending on the patella damage character allows to choose the optimum medical tactic. The designed methods is introduced in clinical practice of traumatology departments of town and district hospitals of the cities of Donetsk, Konstantinovka, Yasinovataya, Krasny Liman. Traumatology and orthopedics.
