Essay

Consumption, effective range and change of air consumption in the mine working by feeding the fire-extinguishing powders to the underground fire place are results of the analytical and experimental investigations. The devices of feeding the fire-extinguishing powders finely dispersed in the ventilation stream owing to energy of the air flow created by the mine fan have been worked out. Conditions of their feed being uniform and time-unlimited are substantiated. The empirical dependences of duration of feeding the powders on their dispersivity and distance to the fire place are determined. The principal results of the work are used by development of a number of the branch normative documents and creation of the devices of feeding the fire-extinguishing powders that have been widely used in the mine-rescue subdivisions of the Ukraine and Russia.
