Essay

The dissertation is dedicated to the complex research of the state system of the popular schooling of the Crimean Tatars in the end XIX – beginning ХХ centuries. This system consisted of two elements – Simferopol Tatar Teacher School (STTS) and the network of the Russian-Tatar Minister Colleges (RTMC). The main goal of the STTS creation was the training of the national pedagogical personnel for the RTMC. It illustrates the legislative base; the pedagogical activity of the following inspectors, honorary curators and teachers; the process of the education and training; quantitative and social structure of the students; the sociopolitical, scientific, pedagogic activity of the most outstanding graduates; the content of the curriculum for all disciplines, the educational methodical work; the library fund STTS. At the beginning of the ХХ century the former alumni presented the elite of the Crimean Tatar intelligentsia. Their life and creativity for the good of the nation greatly enriched the Crimean Tatar History and Culture pages. It illustrates the legislative base RTMC and their place in the structure of the educational institutions of the country; the pedagogical activity of the teachers, mainly the alumni of the STTS, teachers of the Islamic religion and honorable guardians; quantitative, social and national structure of the students RTMC. The alumni of the colleges could continue their education at the educational institutions of the Russian Empire. The development of the state educational institutions in the system of people's education of the Crimean Tatars had an important significance in the promotion of the secular education of the European type, it contributed into the mutual understanding and trust between the Turkics and Slavs, Crimean Christians and Muslims.
