Essay

Ukrainian energy sector and intersectorial energy flows. The simulation model for energy balance forecasting was developed. The wide range of economic-mathematical methods of researches was used: methods of mathematical statistics, system-structural and comparative analyses; theory of matrix and interval analyses. The correctness and efficiency of the simulation approach for energy balance composition and optimization was grounded. The task of composition, modelling and estimation of the energy balance, as an instrument of government control in the conditions of market relations forming and energy markets liberalization was mathematically formalized and solved. Disproportions of Ukrainian energy balance were defined, as well as the factors for its economic efficiency increase. The methodological base for energy balance composition was improved, the system of indexes for efficiency estimation was developed. Scientific results and recommendations were used for preparation of scientific papers, memorandums and other documents, which were sent to public authorities by the Institute of economic forecasting of NASU. Theoretical conclusions and recommendations can be used by public authorities in the process of energy sector and energy markets regulation.
