Essay

Electrosynthesis of oxide composite materials with the given structure, physicochemical and electrochemical properties were studied in the dissertation. The goal of this research is a study of the electrodeposition of composite materials based on lead dioxide, containing surfactants and polyelectrolytes as additives additive, revealing a relationship between the composites structure, their physical-chemical properties and electrocatalytic activity to oxygen-transfer reactions. Methods - stationary and cyclic voltamperometry, rotating disk-electrode, spectrophotometry, roentgen diffraction etc. It was shown that the additives of surfactants and polyelectrolytes strongly influence on kinetics of lead dioxide electrodeposition but at the same time they do not effect on the process mechanism. Nanocomposite materials oxide-surfactant and oxide-polyelectrolyte are formed in the presence of additives. The content of the additives into lead dioxide is determined by their adsorption on the oxide. Selective change of oxygen evolution overpotential, efficiency of inorganic oxidants electrosynthesis and electrochemical conversion of some organic substances (4- chlorophenol, methyl tert-butyl ether) are observed at composite materials based on lead dioxide containing surfactants and polyelectrolytes. Area of application: electroplating, ecology.
